Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has no plans to quit the Premier League club at the end of the season to join Barcelona.

On Sunday, there were reports in Spain that Arteta will leave in the summer.

However, Sky Sports reports that Arteta will not leave Arsenal.

According to the reports, the Spaniard informed his staffs that he was leaving the Emirates.

Arteta is being connected with the Barcelona post, which will become available ahead of the 2024/2025 season.

On Saturday, Xavi announced that he would step down as Barcelona’s head coach at the end of the season.

Xavi announced this after a 5-3 defeat at home to Villarreal, in which the squad conceded twice in extra time at the Nou Camp.

The loss places them 11 points behind La Liga leaders Girona.

Arteta, 41, took over as Arsenal manager from Unai Emery in November 2019, marking his first senior managerial position.
