Kyle Walker, Manchester City’s defender, has broken his silence after being dumped by his wife Annie Kilner over adultery allegations.

This follows the revelation on Thursday that the 33-year-old England footballer has fathered a second child with reality actress Lauryn Goodman.

Annie, 30, revealed on Sunday that the pair, who have been together for 13 years and have three children, would be divorcing and that she would be ‘taking some time apart from Kyle’ due to his alleged infidelity.

Walker, who has now been kicked out of their £2.4million marital home, has spoken out in support of his wife on Instagram by describing her as an ‘amazing woman.’

In the message, Kyle wrote: ‘Annie is an amazing woman and I can only apologise for the upset I’ve caused her.

‘She’s been part of my life for so long and that will never change for the sake of our children.

‘I would ask for privacy for all of our family, and especially our young children, whilst we work through these difficult times.’

According to Mail Online, his inappropriate behaviour with Lauryn, 32, has caused Annie great grief, especially since the former has allegedly been’stirring up trouble’ behind the scenes, affecting his wife’s mental health.

A pal said: ‘Kyle won’t be giving up on his marriage and hopes to convince Annie over time he can still be the husband she wants him to be.

‘She just needs some space to process and concentrate on herself and Kyle is respecting that.

‘He’s aware how much pain he’s caused her and the hugely detrimental effect his links with Lauryn has impacted Annie’s life.’

Annie announced via her Instagram account that she was separating with Kyle after 13 years.

The pair, who met in their home city of Sheffield, share three children, Riaan, Roman, and Reign.

Her Instagram post read: ‘Sadly, after many years of marriage and three wonderful children together, I have decided to take some time away from Kyle.

‘I do not wish to comment on the position any further. For now, I ask that the privacy of myself and my three young children be respected during this difficult time.’
