Brighton defeated Tottenham 4-2 in a thrilling contest at the Amex Stadium in which both teams had numerous chances.

Brighton took the lead through Jack Hinshelwood, and Joao Pedro converted a penalty to make it 2-0 before the break. Pervis Estupinan then hammered home to make it 3-0 and Pedro scored another penalty kick to make it 4-0 as Brighton looked out of sight.

Richarlison had two goals disallowed and hit the post, but Spurs ultimately got on the board twice in the closing 10 minutes, with Alejo Veliz and Ben Davies scoring. Spurs then struck the post through Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and had so many chances late on to snare an unlikely 4-4 draw.

With the win, Brighton now has 30 points, while Tottenham has 36.
